Sony Vaio W Series

Sony Vaio W Series

The features of this great netbook give it that added touch. Overall great performance finish and display. The multimedia features stand out, what i liked was the ability to sream live multimedia onto your TV or through your Play station as it gives you the choice of utalising it as a DLNA server.

DLNA is short for Digital Living Network Alliance, and defines a standard for moving movies, photos, music and other media from device to device. DLNA servers can store media in one location, and, without any setup or configuration, can stream the media to DLNA compliant players, like the PS3 and Xbox 360. The big draw behind DLNA is to throw away major configuration, and create a simplistic way for consumers to get media from one device to another.

The pebble key board resembles that of the Mac. The major draw backs are the price tag and battery life.

  • Pebble keyboard

Digital Cameras: What is ISO ?

Digital Cameras: What is ISO ?

ISO is the sensitivity at which your cameras sensor reacts to the light when you open the shutter. ISO is measured in a scale called ISO scale. ISO is the number indicating a digital camera sensors sensitivity to light, the higher the sensitivity, the less light is needed to make an exposure. the advantage with digital cameras is ISO is adjustable. Where as with older film cameras you had to carry different film roles to accommodate the variance in ISO. This is a Major advantage of digital cameras. A good Digital Camera would have and ISO range of
( 80 / 100 / 200 / 400 / 800 / 1600 High Sensitivity) between 80 - 1600. the higher ISO settings will allow you to take quality pictures in the darker rooms and areas with poor lighting. The higher ISO is great for poor lit areas as long as it is in the High Sensitivity ISO Range. If you increase ISO extremely you r picture becomes grainy. A good photographer will combine various things like ISO with Aperture and Shutter Speed to get a great exposure.

Choosing Televisons

Choosing Televisons
Choosing a television can be one of the hardest things, with the constant introductions of new terminology and formats. There are several key features that one has to look out for:
1.Screen type: that is Plasma/LCD
2.Contrast Ratio
3.Refresh Rate 50HZ/60Hz/100Hz
4.HD Ready
5.Digital Ready
6.Inputs
7.Difference between Progressive and Interlace
There are several of these points that companies market on in particular is HD Ready, I know that a lot of people believe that if it says HD Ready, when they go home they will be able to get this product home and receive this wonderful HD quality picture. There are a lot of false implications, and unless you have an HD source input (i.e. Blueray, PS3, or a HD broadcasts) you will only be receiving you picture in SD Standard Definition. This blog aims to assist you in making the right decision by being more informed.
